In Which We Paint Very High Ceilings by Way of MacGuyvering

Last night, Kiya and I went by a friend's house tonight to finish painting her nursery.  Kiya had already rolled the walls but the super high ceilings presented a problem.  Short of walking on stilts, we couldn't figure out how to get high enough to finish trimming the walls.

Then our friend had a brilliant idea...put the ladder on top of four kitchen chairs.  When that proved still just a few inches short, we put our best MacGuyver skills to the test and taped a paintbrush to the end of a stick.

And so, Kiya braved the ladder (she has a steadier hand) and I held the ladder and chairs in place and prepared myself to catch her, in the event of a cataclysmic failure of our oh-so-safe set-up.
