Halloween!

After recruiting my parents to help me get rid of this pile of mulch, I threw on a Halloween wig and headed down to Union Market to watch Ghostbusters.

It was exactly as awesome as I remembered although with a shocking number of sex jokes that I didn't recall.  The creepy dogs are still super creepy.  The Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man was still menacing, although much less destructive than I remembered.  I still want to be possessed Dana (her eye makeup - it's so hot!).  And my dream of living in a fire station was rekindled.

this thing is so creepy

The Great Pumpkin

Tonight I curled up on the couch and watched "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown".  I think I love the Peanuts gang, and Linus in particular, because they give me hope that I can recapture some of the innocence and optimism of childhood.

"Each year, the Great Pumpkin rises out of the pumpkin patch that he thinks is the most sincere. He's gotta pick this one. He's got to. I don't see how a pumpkin patch can be more sincere than this one. You can look around and there's not a sign of hypocrisy. Nothing but sincerity as far as the eye can see."

Next year, for sure, I will have the pumpkin patch that is the most sincere...

Painting the Fences Red...

I have a really ugly chain link fence in the backyard.  This weekend, I decided to make it less ugly.  So I bought a large sheet and lots of spray paint and went to work.

Pretty proud of the results although there were some unintended consequences (my bangs are now pink, my manicure is no longer limited to just my nails and many, many innocent spiders had their webs destroyed).

Revenge of the Bridesmaids

I am not ashamed that I spent my Saturday evening watching the ABC Family Original Movie "Revenge of the Bridesmaids" because it was amazing.
