Wreckage...

This morning, I got in line as usual to drive onto the compound at work. They waited until there were four of us in line to tell us the parking lot was full, necessitating complicated maneuvering in a small area to back up and turn around, to get us all pointed in the direction of the other parking lot.

Unfortunately, as I was backing up, poor Sherry's left back bumper collided with a low cement barrier (for those who might judge - it was a full foot lower than my rear windows and directly behind me, thus not visible in either my rear or side mirrors or back windows). I think it made the guard's morning - their life is so boring otherwise.

I have decided I can definitely fix this one myself, with a little clear packing tape.

You and my husband think the same way. His bumper and back tail light are held on with duct tape. The only problem is hot Las Vegas and duct tape don't mix well!

I did the same thing when I busted a tail light. I was fine until it was time for inspection. Then I HAD to get it fixed. Do you even have to worry about inspection in Jordan?

Those guards probably put that barrier there deliberately.

Janell - good point about the heat - while the highs here don't reach Vegas proportions, it is going to get hot.

Abby - luckily no inspections here...my car has totally pimped out tinted windows as a result!!

And Lisa - I think your theory is definitely correct. Sheer boredom drove them to it.

I say leave it as is...should help those Jordanian drivers know not to mess with you on the road.
