I'm not saying my last trip to Israel was to eat french toast at Zuni's but...
In between and around french toast, I did some shopping and wandered through the Old Town. It was Sukkot, or the Feast of Tabernacles, and there was a general aura of celebration floating through the city. Restaurants and most houses had a sukkah, or booth, constructed to eat under and people were carrying palm fronds around the city.
